Alan Peterson, MD is the Emeritus Director of Environmental and Community Medicine for over 40 years at Lancaster General Health. He is a family physician and still teaches family medicine residents at Lancaster General and Penn State Medical. Dr. Peterson has written several journal, newspaper and newsletter articles, an active Board Member of Lancaster’s Partnership for Public Health, a member of numerous environment and medicine related associations, and he has participated in many environmental studies including lead poisoning and air pollution.
